In an effort to further the quality of life and sense of activity to our downtown, to respond to the economy and our local needs, and to allow individuals in the community an opportunity to assist our community while having some fun doing it, the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Committee, and The Randolph Arts Guild present CanSculpture.
This one-day sculpture competition invites school groups, church groups, business groups, and artists to create temporary sculptures made of canned goods.
Groups are asked to first of all, gather as many cans of food as possible, then use these cans to create sculptures in the Bicentennial parking lot during the upcoming Art May-Ham, Saturday, May 8th, 2010 in Downtown Sculpture.
Groups interested in participating must contact Derrick Sides at The Randolph Arts Guild,
