Fiction Writing Workshop

Do you have a story?  Everyone does!  But not everyone has the tools to become a published writer and author.  Marcus Lawson, a life-long resident of Randolph County and an art teacher, has been there and done that.  His first Christian Fantasy Novel, "Shaman's Spark," is scheduled to be released April 6.  Mr. Lawson will be leading a writers' discussion and workshop complete with a presentation on how he got started, some tools to keep you writing even when the writer's block hits (and it will!), and an informative session on the many different methods of getting published.  This workshop will take place on Saturday, March 20, from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Randolph Arts Guild; the cost is $10 for RAG members and $15 for non-members.  To register, please call the Randolph Arts Guild at 629-0399 by March 17.

Meet the Artist

A class designed for students in grades 4 - 9, Gail Dubuis will be teaching a class on famous artists. The class meets April 13 (Piet Mondrian) and May 11 (Georgia O'Keeffe) from 4 - 6 p.m.  The cost is $20 for RAG members and $25 for non-members; fees are per class.
